Harvest Festival

Harvest Festival

This year at Frome Valley, we decided to support the charity 'Wateraid' at our Harvest Festival. Each class had a different focus and shared their learning.

Our Reverend, Jacquie, introduced our service for us and closed it with a blessing.
Reception class created an acrostic poem about water and shared it using some actions and songs, whilst looking great wearing their water droplet head bands that they had created in class.
Year 1 had spent some time thinking about what they would miss if we didn't have any water. They created some lovely paper plate designs to show their ideas.
Year 3 shared some very important information about the current crisis in Bangladesh.
Year 4 had created some beautiful posters which showed many facts and statistics about water around the world and some information about the difference that work that 'Wateraid' is making to peoples' lives.
A huge well done to all of the children for a fantastic service and an extra thank you and well done to the two year 4 readers, Olivia and Matthew, who lead so well and did a super job!
