KS1 Sharing Assembly

This term’s KS1 Sharing Assembly was ably led by Lilly and Carter in Year 2. To start with each class shared things they had learnt and were proud of this term.

Reception acted out the story ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ and told us about their Teddy Bears Picnic. They showed us the firework pictures they had made and enjoyed counting down from 10 to 1 and blast off!

Year 1 shared their growing maths skills with us in their own version of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ complete with judging panel! They showed us different ways to add and subtract in order to solve some real-life maths problems.

Year 2 told us about some poems they have learnt which follow a pattern. They enthusiastically recited ‘Alligator’ by Grace Nicols complete with all the actions! Each group had also woked on inventing new lines for a poem about a ‘Magic Box’ into which they could put their favourite thoughts and memories.

Lilly and Carter then read out the names of all the children who have completed their bronze WOW cards. We also celebrated those children who have been awarded certificates and medals outside of school.

Finally, Ms Thorp presented the ‘DASP Citizenship Awards’ for this term. We would like to congratulate:

Emma and Alex in Reception

Millie and Summer in Year 1 and

William and Mia V in Year 2

Well done everyone!
