NSPCC Assembly

NSPCC Assembly: SPEAK OUT STAY SAFE

On Monday 9th January, children from Year 1 to Year 4 took part in a special NSPCC assembly.

KS1 Assembly

In KS1, the children learnt about keeping private parts 'private' and being confident to say 'No. That's not OK'. They learnt the Childline number: 0800 1111 and what they could call Childline about.  They learnt that Childline was open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
KS2 Assembly

As with the KS1 assembly, the children learnt about the helpline: the number to call; an easy way of remembering it and that there is no issue too big or too small that can't be discussed on the helpline. Childline ALWAYS want to hear from you!

As well as contacting the helpline, the children generated a list of all the many people in their lives, at home and school, that they can tell if something was worrying or upsetting them with the aid of some giant building blocks!!

Also, the children learnt about how it is quite normal for children and parents to fight at home. However, physical and verbal abuse is different to this and not acceptable. The helpline and adults listed will always be happy to help with this!
