Send My Friend to School

Send My Friend to School

Four children from Year 3 and 4 were selected to go on the Send My Friend to School trip. In order to gain a place on the trip, they had to present why they should be chosen to their class. Their classmates then voted for who they thought should go.

On the day, we met with other DASP schools at St Osmund's Middle School, Dorchester. From St Osmund's we walked to through town to the town pump attracting the interest of the public with our many Send My Friend to School banners. At the town pump we asked members of the public to sign our petition asking the government to invest more in education for all children. We received a lot of positive interest from the public.

Then, we met with local MP Oliver Letwin at the Corn Exchange. Each school made a presentation sharing their thoughts of the importance of education for all children to Oliver Letwin. To finish, Oliver Letwin a question from each school and was presented with our banners and petition. It was a very successful trip and we hope Oliver Letwin and the rest of the government will continue to act on the importance of education for all.
