Science- states of matter

In our States of Matter topic this term, we have learned about the properties of solids, liquids and gases. In particular, we have looked at the properties of ice, water and steam. We carried out an investigation to find out: How does the temperature of the water affect the time it takes for ice to melt?

For our method, we put hot water into one beaker and cold water into another beaker.

Then, took the temperature of ther water in each beaker. After, we added an ice cube to each beaker and began a timer.

Lastly, we recoded how long it took for the ice to melt in each beaker and the temperature.
