Eco Day 2019

Eco Day 2019: our actions count
Today our focus was all about how our actions and choices matter and what we can do to spark change.
Children took part in a range of different activities including litter picking, investigating the biodiversity in our school grounds, learning about our new pond area, counting and weighing the recycling we have collected (pens and crisp/biscuit packets) and making eco bricks.
Our eco brick project is to make a bench for the indoor reflection area.  The plastic for the eco brick was collected from the children's lunch boxes and will stand as a reminder of how much un-recyclable plastic we still use.
The message for the children was that they can be part of a change.  They can influence others by what they do.  they can make a difference.
