Fairtrade Fortnight

The focus for this year's Fairtrade Fortnight (29th February - 13th March) was 'Sit down for breakfast, stand up for farmers'. The children learnt where the items we eat for breakfast come from and about the lives of some of the farmers and workers who grow our food. Children designed their own breakfasts using Fairtrade products and produced posters to raise awareness of the need to support Fairtrade producers.

All the children and their families were invited to come and attend a fairtrade breakfast in school.  They were served fairtrade juices, cereals, bread, jam and honey.  The adults were served fairtrade tea and coffee.  It was a lovely morning and a super start to the school day.
