Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 Sharing Assembly

The Reception and Key Stage 1 sharing assembly was led wonderfully by Samuel and Lily.  What a fantastic job they both did!

Firstly, the children were presented with their awards and certificates that they had acheived outside of school.  It is amazing to see how much the children acheive in their free time!
Reception class talked about their 'traditional tales' topic and performed the repeated refrains from some of the classics.  The included 'The Gingerbread Man', 'The Three Little Pigs' and 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'.  Some children shared some of their superb writing, showing off some of their new skills.  This included writing captions, labels and stories.  To finish, a group of children shared something new they had learnt and something they were proud of.  Miss Padfield and Mrs Trent were certainly proud of them all.  A great performance made by all!
Year 1 shared some of their superb superhero stories that they had written.  They all read them so clearly and beautifully, a real joy to listen to! The whole class had taken part in a story making activity in the class, writing a story about 'Laser Boy' and creating wonderful actions to do too!

Great work year 1!
Year 2 shared some of the space projects that linked to their topic 'Starry Starry Night'.  They were truly spectacular and showed a lot of hard work and creativity.  Some of the class then shared some interesting facts about space that they had discovered.  Lastly, the whole class performed the story, 'The Very Greedy Crocodile' with super expression and actions.

Well done year 2!
