Orienteering Festival

At the beginning of the Summer Term, three Year 4 children took part in an Orienteering Festival alongside other children from local schools. The festival was held at St Mary's Middle School and was organised by Levi Dailey. The children followed photo clues as well as using maps to find specific places on the school field. All children showed brilliant team work skills - well done to everyone involved!
KS2 Cricket Festival

On Tuesday 1st May, eight Year 3 children spent the morning at Dorchester Recreational Ground taking part in a cricket festival organised by the Dorset Cricket Board. They learnt various skills at different stations around the ground including throwing, catching, fielding and batting. The children really enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot of new skills.
Tennis Competition

Four children from Year 4 took part in a tennis competition held at Dorchester Tennis Club on Monday 11th June. The children competed in a range of friendly matches against other schools in the area. All children involved represented the school very well. Congratulations to our Frome Valley Tennis Team!
Sports Day

On 20th June, with the sun eventually shining, all children across the school took part in our annual sports day. Our sports day included all the favourites including sack race, egg and spoon, relay, flat race and Reception’s obstacle race. Sports Day ended up on a wet-note (as always!) with the Year 4 leaver’s race, where Year 3 and the parents of Year 4 make it their responsibility to get Year 4 as wet as possible! A brilliant day was had by all!!
