Summer 2019

Creative Curriculum - Seaside holidays in the past
The sun came out for our trip to Weymouth!! We discovered what makes the town such a popular destination for holidays and day trips. We spent the morning exploring the seafront looking for clues to Weymouth's past and comparing the seaside now with holidays in the past. We also linked our data handling in numeracy by asking members of the public what their favourite part of Weymouth was and created a tally chart of the answers. For lunch, we had a picnic on the beach. We then had a quick paddle and game on the beach before rounding off the afternoon with a well deserved ice cream!
RE - Islam
This half term in RE we have been looking at Islam. Our focus has been on how Muslims show commitment to their faith through prayer. We learnt all about their prayer rituals, created our own prayer mat and even learnt the actions that Muslims would use in their daily prayers.
PE - Daily Mile

This term we have loved doing The Daily Mile! We all agree that our fitness has improved! Many of us have even said that when we go on walks with our family, we don't moan anymore because we are fitter!! Our highlight this term was doing the Daily Mile with Briony's brother who is in the RAF, Isla's dad who is in the police and running with the sports leaders from St Mary's Middle School.
